Visual Concepts was started in 2007 by Noah in his garage in McKinleyville, California. Noah initially became interested in graphic design during his time at Humboldt State University. Shortly after graduating, he purchased his first Roland large-format printer to be able to offer more than just the logos and graphic design services he had previously been providing to his first clients. Initially focusing on the motocross racing industry, Visual Concepts is born and bred of racing, adrenaline, and the aesthetics to support that field.

Visual Concepts has since grown into a 5,000 square foot warehouse in downtown Arcata, California and employees 5 or 6 creative individuals, depending on the day and who's riding that afternoon. Our services have expanded greatly since the garage days, and continue to expand everyday.

Whether you are an entrepreneur, racer, auto enthusiast, or otherwise, Visual Concepts has a service or product that will exceed your expectations. Visual Concepts. The Applications Are Endless.

Meet Our Team
Noah Samson
Owner, Lead Graphic Designer, Custodial Services
Humboldt native and HSU Alum, Noah has built this company from a single computer and large format printer in his home garage, to our current headquarters in Arcata, California, providing local business owners and entrepreneurs with cutting edge design and print services. Noah's passion for design started in his youth, racing motocross with his family throughout the west coast. The intensity of racing motorcycles and mountain bikes fuels his work ethic and energetic and unique design aesthetic. Life with his wife, Rebecca and shop dog Annabelle is full of art, hard work and two-wheeled adventures. Noah considers his employees as well as his clients some of his best friends and family, and works long hours everyday to build his business, and provide his essential services in support of the entrepreneurial spirit of Humboldt County.
Josh Biane
Shop Operations Manager
Josh is an easy going guy with a die hard work ethic. Also a native of Humboldt County, Josh is dedicated above all to furthering Visual Concepts, and of course, his ridiculously cute daughter, Kaydence. Josh is an expert at running our Roland print systems, as well as install of all types of signage and vehicle wraps. When not pushing buttons at the shop, or expertly installing wraps, Josh can be found spending quality time with his daughter, or chasing Noah down the mountainsides of Humboldt County and beyond on his mountain bike or snowboard. Our resident lady killer, Josh's smile is infectious, and Visual Concepts would not be what it is without him.
Steven Lowery
Fabrication Manager & Vehicle Wrap Specialist
Born and raised in Mckinleyville, former football player and current culinary expert. Stephen was drawn to Visual Concepts through his own love of racing. A distinguished ATV racer, Stephen, like Noah, brings the intensity of the race track to his work at Visual Concepts. Stephen is a master fabricator, excellent at building whatever needs to be built, disassembling vehicles for wraps, and just about anything else he sets his mind to. When not working, Stephen is riding his dirt bike or ATV, hitting the gym hard, or spending time with his pops and amazing girlfriend Melissa. Stephen's gentle giant demeanor and amazing sense of humor as well as intense work ethic make him an integral part of the Visual Concepts team.
Patrisha Gutierrez
Office Manager
An HSU Grad, hailing from the Bay Area. Began as marketing and office assistant for Redwood Curtain Brewing Co. which spawned a love of beer and a well organized office. Trish recently came on full time at Visual Concepts, and instantly brought our game up immensely. Trish is the glue that holds this crazy bunch together. Amazingly organized and on-point, Trish offered the feminine touch that Visual Concepts so badly needed. When not at the office, Trish is exploring beautiful Humboldt County, and enjoying life with her awesome boyfriend.
Shop Dog, Client Greeting Specialist, Face Licker
Annabelle has been a part of Visual Concepts since the beginning. Our resident greeter and official face-licker, Annabelle is usually hanging at the shop, sleeping under Noah's feet, and dreaming of tennis balls and beach days. Give her a pet and a treat next time you see her.
